| 26-27 | Ghost Hunt. The Ghosts and Spirits of this very eerie Fort are extremely active and have been witnessed by many visitors here. The apparition that consistently appears is that of The Whistling Gunner. This is definitely the best known ghost at the Nothe Fort and even has a passageway dedicated to him. Other figures that have been seen wandering the parapets include that of a white Figure and the spooky and eerie noises that accompany you as you walk around. There have not been many investigations at the Nothe Fort but those who have been brave enough to spend the night here have left petrified and set never to return. Their experiences have included voices whispering in their ears, being touched by unseen hands and ghostly lights appearing from nowhere. Poltergeist activity has also been witnessed here and those embarking on an investigation with us will need to really keep their wits about them. | Nothe Fort, Barrack Road | 7.30pm on Friday to 2.30am on Saturday | 01159 729312 |
| 28 | The Best of Dorset Leisure Show with FREE entry. The entertainment programme for the day is fully booked and packed with a great range and diversity of singing, music, drama and fun. Show favourites WOW, Ed Hintz and Dorset for Singing will be joined by new acts for the Show - Street Dancing, Lets Dance and Mad Science. Britain's Number 1 Shooter Peter Wilson will be officially opening this year's show. Peter will be taking time out of his busy international schedule as he prepares to represent Great Britain at the ISSF Shotgun World Cup being held in Dorset (Southern Counties between 11th and 20th May 2010). Latest Show News! All visitors to the 2010 Best of Dorset Show can receive a Free Guided Tour on the Tall Ship 'Pelican', a complimentary Dorset Cereal Bar and a free swim.
