Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park & Marine Sanctuary

An all-weather attraction, with numerous indoor marine life exhibitions, as well as a host of outdoor features

Indoor displays include:

  • the Tropical Shark Nursery, teeming with black tip reef sharks, bonnet heads and other species of sharks and rays
  • the spectacular Turtle Sanctuary with its walk-through underwater tunnel
  • one of the first National Seahorse Breeding and Conservation Centres
  • an arts and crafts centre for the younger ones, including badge making, create your own sand art and pottery painting pieces, and face painting.

Outdoors there are:

  • sanctuaries for the Asian short-clawed otters and harbour seals
  • a resident colony of Humboldt penguins
  • activities such as Adventure Island - a land of thrilling tug boat and hopper rides, the Splash Lagoon and Venom
  • new for 2009, the fantastic CROCODILE CREEK - go on a safari style adventure, either by boat or by foot, and come face to face with real crocodiles! Crocodile Creek features talks and information boards designed to deliver a crocodile conservation message, and to discourage people from trying to keep these primitive and potentially dangerous animals as pets.

Opening Times

During the Spring and Summer months, Weymouth Sea Life Adventure Park & Marine Sanctuary is open from 10 am until 6 pm daily, with last admittance at 5 pm. The Park closes earlier in the Autumn and Winter months, and does not open on Christmas Day.
