Relax in the lap of luxury at one of these hotels

Put your feet up and forget your troubles…

These luxurious hotels offer spectacular service and a peaceful night’s sleep.

A good hotel puts the needs of the customers above all else, no request is too much to ask and every effort will be made by the staff to ensure that guests enjoy their time. Having been a popular tourist destination for decades, Weymouth is packed full of hotels ranging from the cheap and cheerful to the expensive and decadent: regardless of the price you pay, you can almost guarantee that you’ll be treated with the utmost respect and civility.

There’s a hotel to suit every taste here, if you want to sink into history then there are plenty of 18th century hotels on the Esplanade, or if you prefer something a bit more contemporary then you can try a chic place in the town centre complete with modern doors from Portfolio and other such 21st century features.

Check out our favourite hotels in the list below, but don’t forget to book early to avoid disappointment:

Somerset House Hotel

There aren’t many hotels in Weymouth like the Somerset House Hotel, it’s outlandish décor and bizarro visual flair might put off discerning guests, but those willing to give it a shot will be surprised by the number of modern features that each uniquely decorated room comes with. Only a few minutes walk from the beach and just a stone’s throw away from the railway station, this is a centrally located hotel which also benefits from a BBQ restaurant, bar and deli on site – perfect for meat lovers!

Double rooms start at £117.80 and even include breakfast.

The Hotel Rex

The decidedly retro Hotel Rex is relic from a bye-forgotten era of hotel establishments. Deep red carpets cover this historical hotel which was originally built to accommodate the Duke of Clarence whilst King George III was holding court in Weymouth. Although the hotel has its historical roots, the hotel has kept up to date with the times by installing wireless internet throughout the premises, as well as a lift that serves all floors. A stay at the Hotel Rex is like taking a step back to a time of Great British hospitality.

Double rooms with spectacular sea-view start at £81.22

The Chatsworth

There’s plenty of harbourside accommodation on offer in Weymouth, but few get you so close to the water than the elegant Chatsworth, a long established Georgian hotel that prides itself on its comfort and affordability. Places right at the southern end of the Esplanade, rooms at this hotel offer commanding views of both the harbour and Weymouth Bay, there’s also a sun terrace which is perfect for relaxing on in the evening or enjoy a cooked breakfast on a glorious sunny morning. Guests can order fresh seafood in the day and make the most of a BBQ menu in the summer.

Double en-suite rooms start at a reasonable £80 per night.

No. 98 Boutique Hotel

Boutique hotels balance a building’s historical charm with modern décor and it’s safe to say that the No. 98 Boutique Hotel does this to perfection. The unassuming frontage on Weymouth’s historic Esplanade is your first hint that this is a unique hotel and the interior doesn’t disappoint. Each one of the 9 bedrooms on offer here has been refurbished in a summery Mediterranean style, making a stay here a real treat to remember. Goose down duvets, fluffy towels and an exemplary breakfast make this one not to miss!

Double rooms start at £110 during low season.
